      A taste of the story

A tired man, a hill and a walking stick

The story goes that Joseph of Arimathea came to Glastonbury all the way from the Holy Land, and by the time he reached the hill on the edge of town he was exhausted. He pushed his walking staff into the ground to lean on, and when he went to pull it out again, it had taken root.

He’s said to have brought something with him too, a cup, and to have hidden it somewhere nearby before anyone could take it.

      Callum, founder of Impact Tribe

I’m Callum, and I started building Impact Tribe because I wanted the miles I walk to lead somewhere more interesting. I’ve always loved the odd stories attached to real places, and the Pilgrim’s Path from Glastonbury to Stonehenge has more than its share. Sign up and I’ll send you the first story, and let you know when the first Tribe sets off together on Monday 4 January 2027.
